 Mark your calendar now for February 5 and 6 for the 2010 Humble Rodeo BBQ Cook-Off, followed by the Rodeo on February 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. You don’t want to miss either event – both are going to be bigger and better than ever – and all proceeds benefit the students of the Humble Independent School District. So come on out, bring the family and enjoy yourself for a good cause! |
Proceeds from the events associated with the Humble Rodeo benefit the Humble ISD Education Foundation that benefits all the students in the Humble Independent School District. The donations received by the Foundation are used to grant the wishes of many deserving teachers. The Foundation provides grant opportunities to all staff, faculty, nurse, etc. of the HISD. Every staff member of HISD has the opportunity to present a grant for innovative classroom projects, teacher and staff development programs, and grants to enhance curriculum and technology within the district, etc. The possiblities are only limited by the imagination of the grant writer.

 Our traditional rodeo parade at 2 p.m. on January 30 will kick off this year’s event, followed by the return of the pancake breakfast from 7 – 9 a.m. on February 5. And if pancakes weren’t great enough, more fantastic food will be available at the BBQ Cook-Off. It’s a week of fun and entertainment that includes a livestock show, rodeo, country-western entertainment and a kids’ zone designed just for children. |
